Church Services

Toddlers and babies are very welcome in services. (Yes, we do realise that young children do not always stay in one place or keep totally quiet!!)

However, if you would feel more at ease, a special area is available in the tower room at the back of the church. Your child is welcome to play here during part or all of the service and you can still listen to the service via a speaker. It is also a good place to feed your baby if you would like some privacy.
Alternatively, if you would prefer somewhere more comfortable to sit,  there are now sofas in the carpeted area at the back of church.

Carer and Toddler Group - Friday mornings

Open to all pre-school children and their parents/carers.  Particularly popular with children 6 months to 3 years.
Free-play, activities and singing for the little ones and a chance for the grown-ups to sit and chat! Baby area for our youngest members. All refreshments included in the entry price.

Where? St Mary's Hall (back entrance)
When? Friday mornings 9.00 to 11.15 - come for any or all of the session
How much? £1 per family (10p of this money goes to support the little girl our group sponsors in Romania through Children in Distress.)

Messy Church logoMessy Church meets monthly, on the last Sunday of the month, in St Mary’s Church Hall between 11am and 1pm (except when this falls during school holidays). Everyone is very welcome and we look forward to seeing you!

So what is Messy Church??

Messy Church is an opportunity to welcome families, particularly those with children into the church. Each Messy Church will take a different theme from within the church’s calendar and explore this through craft activities, and yes this can be messy, a short musical worship and through sharing lunch together! Messy Church is a very warm and welcoming occasion aimed at the young with their parents.

OWC LogoThe One Way Club (Sunday School) has a simple aim:
To help children grow in faith.

As part of this we try to help them understand the bible, have some fun, make some friends and learn about Jesus. It can be noisy at times, but it’s joyful.

We meet on Sunday mornings at 10.30am on the first and second (and sometimes fourth) week of the month during term time. We join with everybody in church for the start of the 10.30am service then go to St Mary's Hall for our own activities until about 11.30am.
