Working in love to glorify God
and proclaim Jesus Christ as Saviour

Prayer for the Week

Please pray that the situation in Syria does not deteriorate any further than it already has.  Please pray that the decisions made by the USA, the UK and France do not provoke any retaliation by Russia who has allied itself with Syria.  Please pray that decisions made are wise decisions.

ALPHA COURSE - On the 17th April at 7.30pm in St Mary's Hall we begin our next Alpha Course for anyone wanting to explore the Christian faith for the first time or who simply want to know more. There are flyers with more information at the back of church. There are also sign up sheets in church for people who would be willing to be a part of a team to help with either the cooking or the serving and clearing up on the night. From past experience the acts of kindness shown by those cooking and serving often speak louder than all the words spoken by the Alpha leaders. Please do come and be part of this amazing ministry. If you would like to book your place on the course, please be praying and thinking about whom you might invite who does not already come to church. Please contact Rachel tel: 07944 992178 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

ACPM - This year's annual meeting will take place on Tomorrow Evening at 7.30pm in the church. It's at this meeting where we review the work of the church during 2017. Members of the PCC are elected and people with other roles are recognised. As you know, Dave Townsend has decided that his time as churchwarden has come to an end and so we will hopefully also be appointing a new person to this key role. If you are interested in joining the PCC, then current members would be very happy to answer questions. Nomination forms can be found at the back of church. If you'd like to know more about being a churchwarden, then Mark Tanner, Sue Megahy or Dave Townsend will be very happy to help. Harry Hughes (PCC Secretary)

Faith in our Fathers

Fathers’ Day is on 17th June and this is a great opportunity to reflect on how we can celebrate fathers.  Dads, stepdads, two dads, absent dads…fatherhood and what it means is changing.  We’re going to explore what ‘fatherhood’ can be in today’s society, gain some ideas to inspire, and find ways to encourage grandads, dads, stepdads and all dads to do a great job.

There is no charge for this breakfast, but there will be a retiring offering for the ministry of Betel. To book, please contact Jacky Bates - email:    This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK - With the approach of lighter evenings, it can only mean that Christian Aid Week is on the horizon. This year it's Sunday 13th May until Saturday 19th  May, and as usual we are desperate for house-to-house collectors.  Between us, we usually manage to collect an amazing £5000, reduced last year owing to lack of collectors.   We collect from many people who would not send in a donation, but are willing to put a gift into the envelope on the doorstep.  Please consider whether you can help this year, now matter how few houses you can cover - an hour or two of your time can make a huge difference to those in great need.  More info. from, and offers of help to, Yvonne Ellison, This email address is being protected from spambots.
